Financial Reports - GL Detail Report

The GL (General Ledger) Detail Report shows detailed information on your business’ general ledger accounts for a given month. This allows you to be able to review specific transactions that make up the balances of each (accounting) category. To learn more about categories, please click here

In order to access this report, please take the following steps:

  • Click on the Reports tab from the left-hand menu bar
    • From that drop-down, click on Financial Reports
      • This will take you to the Financial Reports list, and once there, you will want to click on the 'GL Detail' report link
  • This report allows you to filter down the data set that's returned through any of the following options:
    • Choosing a specific category
    • Choosing a year
    • Choosing a month
    • Choosing a transaction type
  • You can also click the [Modify Columns] button at the bottom of the page if you would like to return more or less columns when running this report
  • Finally, if you would like to edit the data set more than what is available through the filters, you can click the [Export to Excel] button to view this report in Microsoft Excel.
